Brunswick Transit System rolls into new location

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick Transit System has a new home in Shallotte.

BTS provides service to anyone in Brunswick County who needs a ride.  Executive Director, Yvonne Hatcher, says moving the service from Bolivia will hopefully get BTS more attention from the people it exists to serve.

“This location helps the people to see us,” Hatcher explained. “We’ve actually been around doing this for about 12 years. But it’s been really difficult being a small non-profit agency and not really having the visibility.”

Hatcher says they also offer contract services with different agencies but their main goal is to get people where they need to be.
