Burgwin-Wright House is hosting “Local Legends & Haunted Tales Tour” on Friday
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Burgwin-Wright House is hosting two “Cape Fear Legends & Lore” walking tours on Friday (Oct. 11) and Saturday (Oct. 12) at 9am for guests to learn about the local legends and haunted tales of the downtown area.
The 90-minute tour will snake around the blocks surrounding the Burgwin-Wright House and talk about things like the tunnels underneath the city, the plague of Yellow Fever in 1862, a duel between friends in 1790 and which ghost stories have persisted in the historic district.
