Businesses draw in new customers at 15th annual expo

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Over 58 vendors turned out Saturday for the 15th Annual North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, Boat and RV Show in Leland.

The event attracted small businesses from home repair to health and wellness. This year the event featured the Cape Fear Marine boats and Rex & Sons RV company with RVs on display.

Joes Loves Lobster rolls were a hit with line of customers wrapping around the WWAY parking lot.

“Some [businesses] come from Wilmington but some are mainly from Leland,” said North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dana Fisher. “We have a wide array of businesses now. It’s not like 15/20 years ago. We’ve got a lot now.”

This year the event hosted enough vendors to expand into the WWAY event center. Some residents say this expo is a useful way to find products and services you need.

Attendees also had the opportunity to safely dispose of expired/unused medicines and securely shred up to four boxes of documents.

The event was held on Saturday, March 2nd from 10 AM to 3 PM.
