Calabash man charged with assault, kidnapping turns himself in

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says a Calabash man wanted on domestic violence charges turned himself in today.

A BCSO spokeswoman says Kenneth O’Neil Hill Jr., 34, of Marlowtown Road NW, was wanted yesterday for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault on a female, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping and assault by strangulation after an incident Friday night.

According to warrants, Hill assaulted the victim with a piece of a cinder block, dragged the victim out of a vehicle and hit the victim with a closed fist, as well as choking the victim until she lost consciousness.

The spokeswoman said his bond is $1 million.
