Calabash man charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor

CALABASH, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Calabash man on multiple felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

35-year-old, Samuel White Jr., has been charged with 8 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 8 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The sheriff’s office says White’s arrest stems from an investigation conducted as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a nationwide initiative dedicated to identifying and prosecuting those who exploit children online.

White is currently being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility.
