CAM invites families to Minnie Evans birthday celebration

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cameron Art Museum invites the public to an event celebrating the life of visionary Wilmington artists Minnie Evans.

The event takes place on December 13th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CAM.

All ages are invited, and guest artists Jameka Purdie will be there.

At 11:30 a.m. a tour of the exhibitions will be held where people can enjoy original works by Minnie.

Adults and teenagers are invited to create their own dream journal and decorate the cover with Jameka.

Sensory hour will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for families to offer a quiet, sensory friendly environment.

Advanced registration for the event is required, and $5 donations are suggested.
