Cameron Art Museum wraps up LGBTQ+ Pride Month with ‘Love Dance’ and brunch

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington closed out LGBTQ+ Pride Month with a dance and brunch on Sunday.

The Second Annual Love Dance, hosting brunch at the museum’s cafe, as well as a dance floor in the reception hall featuring DJ Louis, face painting, and more. The dance is among the last pride month events in the Cape Fear this year. CAM Director of Marketing Matt Budd said the event is continuing the museum’s mission of providing a safe space for all* of Wilmington’s community.

“This is just our way of like welcoming the community and being a safe space for everybody, and we just want everyone to have a good time and have fun,” he said.

Budd added that last year’s dance was held outside, but because of the heat and rain, this year’s event was changed to inside the museum.
