Cape Fear boys lacrosse team earns spot in state finals; Hoggard falls short


RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — Cardinal Gibbons and Hoggard were tied 4-4 early on, but Cardinal Gibbons emerged victorious in the 4-A east boys lacrosse finals on Tuesday. The Crusaders won 13-6.

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Academy boys lacrosse team for the first time in school history will compete in a state title game. Cape Fear Academy beat Asheville School 11-8 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will face Forsyth School on Saturday in Winston-Salem in the 2-A NCISAA state championship game.
