Cape Fear Chordsmen’s festive performance benefits relief efforts
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A local musical group spread festive cheer with a free holiday concert at Temple Baptist Church.
The Cape Fear Chordsmen treated the audience to a free Christmas concert titled “A Selfie with Santa.”
The event featured classic holiday favorites mixed with festive fun, including a playful effort to get Santa Claus into the spotlight to take a “selfie” with the crowd.
Though the concert was free, donations and proceeds from the event supported Western North Carolina’s relief efforts through the United Way of Asheville.
The Chordsmen’s performance included smaller group sets that showcased their harmonies, leading to a grand finale.
