Cape Fear Community College hosts Marine Technology Career Fair

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) recently held a career fair focused on marine technology, offering students a unique opportunity to network with industry professionals and explore career pathways in the field.

The event encouraged participants to dress in professional attire and bring their resumes.

Over 20 employers from the marine technology sector and related industries were in attendance.

CFCC’s Marine Technology program, available to high school students, non-traditional students, and those currently enrolled at the college, continues to prepare individuals for a variety of roles in this growing industry. The program provides hands-on training and coursework that covers the skills needed for success in marine technology fields.

Gina Mecca, Director of Career Services at CFCC, shared her insights on how the career fair benefits students: “Within the marine technology program, there is a wide diversity of careers available. We encourage our students to speak with everyone at these events and really discover where their passion lies within the industry.”

Career fairs at Cape Fear Community College are open to all students, alumni, and members of the public.
