Cape Fear Memorial Bridge going up this morning
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Look out for delays on the roads this morning if you plan to take the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.
The bridge is expected to open up as the Thomas Jefferson departs just before 10 a.m. Friday, according to the bridge tender. You may remember the NOAA ship has been docked where the Cutter Diligence usually sits along the riverfront in downtown Wilmington.
The Thomas Jefferson took a break from Tropical Storm Ana, stopping to dock at the Diligence’s pier, also doing tours while it was here.
