Car crashes, driver jumps from bridge

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Officers with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department says a car crashed into trees under Snow’s Cut Bridge early Sunday morning.

According to Lt. Jerry Brewer, EMS arrived to the scene and the driver was reportedly was not in the car, then EMS heard the driver yell down to them from the bridge, “Hey, watch this.” According to Lt. Brewer, he then jumped.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
