Car crashes into school bus in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — One person was injured after a car crashed into a school bus early Monday morning in Brunswick County.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean Highway East and Green Hill Road in Winnabow.

Troopers say the driver of a car failed to yield and struck the rear of a school bus.

The passenger in the car was injured and taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. Authorities say two high school students who were on the bus were not injured.
