Car found submerged in North Myrtle Beach marina

A car was found submerged in a marina in North Myrtle Beach Wednesday morning.

John Fowler with Horry County Fire Rescue says the vehicle is in the water near the Anchor Marina off Little River Neck Road. It was reported around 8:30 a.m.

The Horry County Fire Rescue Dive Team has been called into assist North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue.

Pat Dowling, spokesperson for North Myrtle Beach, says no one saw the car leave the roadway and crash into the water; marina employees Wednesday noticed damage to the fence and noticed then the vehicle submerged.

Officials on scene said there’s no indication anyone is inside the vehicle.
