Carolina Beach Boardwalk expansion going smoothly

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — An update on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk expansion that’s underway.

Workers say the project extending the boardwalk is on schedule.

They have cleared out the area where the boardwalk will go and have begun to install the pilings.

The next step is to continue installing the pilings and lay the deck over the area.

The project is set to finish sometime in March.
