Carolina Beach cardiologist arrested for sexual offenses against a juvenile

KURE BEACH (PRESS RELEASE) — Investigators with the Kure Beach and Carolina Beach Police Departments served an arrest warrant related to an investigation into an allegation of sexual offenses against a juvenile.

Dr. Damian Brezinski, 16, of Kure Beach, was taken into custody by investigators just before 5:00 pm at 1328 N. Lake Park Blvd. Carolina Beach. Additionally, investigators served search warrants at two locations, Dr. Brezinski’s home in Kure Beach, NC and his business, Island Cardiology at 1328 N. Lake Park Blvd. Carolina Beach, NC.

Dr. Brezinski was taken in front of a New Hanover County Magistrate and placed under a $1,500,000 bond for the following charges:

– 1 Count of First-Degree Statutory Sex Offense

– 1 Count of Indecent Liberties with a Child
