Carolina Beach changes rules for dogs on beach

Carolina Beach, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Town Council votes to ban dogs on the beach during summer season.

Tuesday evening council voted to ban dogs April 1st through September 30th.

Dogs are allowed on the beach from October 1st through the end of March, provided they are on a leash.

Freeman Park is still open to dogs but they must be on a leash during the summer season.

Town Council made the move to mirror Kure Beach laws.
