Carolina Beach could get fire boat

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Town Council discussed the possibility of adding a fire boat to the Carolina Beach Fire Department’s fleet today.

Town Manager Michael Crammer said the council seems to be in favor if the idea and discussed adding it to the town budget.

He said the boat will likely cost between $145,000 and $175,000 and the bidding process could start as early as this fall.
