Carolina Beach leaders to discuss plans for Harris Teeter

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Town leaders will discuss a permit to allow the construction of a Harris Teeter shopping center this week.

According to the agenda for the Carolina Beach Planning and Zoning Committee, BBM Associates Inc. has applied for a conditional use permit for a Harris Teeter shopping center or big box store at the location of 1000 and 1010 N. Lake Park Blvd.

The meeting is Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. Final approval for the project would have to come from the city council at their meeting on August 11, according to the town’s senior planner, Jeremy Hardison.
