Carolina Beach Police receives grant for more body cameras

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Good news for the Carolina Beach Police Department. It was recently announced the department has been awarded a grant for 30 new body cameras.

Officials say most officers already have body cameras, but these cameras will have the most up-to-date technology allowing them to best protect residents.

This comes after applying for the grant earlier this year.
