Carolina Beach Subway robbery suspect arrested

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Police arrested a man who they say robbed a restaurant with a knife earlier this week, according to New Hanover County deputies.

Police arrested Jonathan David Lashin, 26, late Wednesday night after issuing warrants for him in connection to a robbery at the Subway at 700 N. Lake Park Boulevard Monday.

During the crime Lashin walked in the the restaurant showing a knife and demanded money from employees.

Deputies at the New Hanover County Jail, where Lashin is booked, say he was arrested by police near where the robbery happened.

Lashin is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, and is booked under a $100,000 bond.
