‘Cars in the Park’ brings auto enthusiasts together in Belville
BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Saturday the car club Sun Coast Cruisers hosted ‘Cars in the Park’ at the Belville Riverwalk Park.
Cars and trucks of different years, makes, models, and colors lined the park for the car show. The cars were judged, and awards were presented for numerous different categories. Food trucks and vendors were also there to help celebrate Sun Coast Cruisers 25th anniversary.
President of the car club Christopher Hoffman says it’s all about the love for cars.
“We started out as a classic car club and opened it up to newer models, late models. Anybody that just had the love of the old car. That’s what it was all about. You have to love the old car to keep them this alive,” Hoffman said.
Usually, the show is in Fort Fisher, but this year Hoffman said they decided to move to a more neutral location. Hoffman also added that proceeds go to charities.
