Cartmen still driving despite downtown conditions

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — For those who were too worried to drive themselves today, Cartmen to the rescue.

Cartmen is a golf cart service run from downtown Wilmington to deliver food to residents and transport people. Owner Bryan Metzger said with many businesses shut down because of the snow, the cartmen spent Monday and Tuesday driving folks around downtown.

“It was kind of quiet,” Metzger said. “No calls came in but we were out driving around anyway. We got in a snowball fight and just kind of played around a little bit.”

Metzger said even though it’s freezing outside, Cartmen is open for business and will make sure anyone who needs a safe ride gets one.

He said he makes sure all of his customers get what they want: Either a warm meal or a safe ride.
