Celebrate National Wine Day with some great summer wines!

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — What’s the best way to celebrate National Wine Day? With a great summer wine of course!

Bryan Parker of Island Wines in Carolina Beach recommends several wines that are perfect for summer dining and entertaining.

Parker says the Spanish wine Sameiras is a beautiful white wine that pairs well with many seafood dishes. It has hints of pear and melon that make it a good compliment to saltier foods.

Another wine that’s perfect for summer is the rose called Cloud Chaser. Parker calls this a beautiful wine that has many of the properties of a red, but without the tannins and big grape skins.

Finally, Decero Malbec is what Parker recommends when you need to please a crowd. It pairs best with heavier meals such as ribs, burgers and steaks.
