CFCC brings ‘Free Concert Friday’ indoors to the Wilson Center
NEW HANOVER COUNTY (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is bringing “Free Concert Friday” to the Wilson Center.
In partnership with The Eagle’s Dare, “Free Concert Friday” is moving indoors for the winter.
The goal is to continue to highlight local bands and artists, all while promoting The Eagle’s Dare’s summertime concerts and events.
The event is free and open to all and is a way to give the community a night of live music and support local artists.
Garrett Geschickter is the Guest Services Coordinator for the Wilson Center at CFCC.
He says this event brings exposure.
“I think it just means exposure for everybody involved. I mean, it gives everybody over at Eagle’s Dare a lot more push on their stuff that’s going to be coming up in the Summer. It allows us to have a much bigger push for all of our upcoming ‘Hello Art’ stuff. I can tell you right now that in the Spring we’re going to have a lot more stuff going on on the ‘Hello Art’ stage. It gives the bands a lot more of an opportunity; working on a stage like ours, being able to work with a professional crew, being able to see how all of our stuff works,” said Geschickter.
“Free Concert Friday” will be next Friday, January 16, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 7 p.m.
