CFCC CDL Truck Driving and Paramedic programs approved for Veterans Affairs benefits

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College announces that the Commercial Driver’s License Truck Driving and Paramedic Programs are now officially approved for the use of Veterans Affairs education benefits.
This means eligible veterans and military-affiliated students can now use their benefits to cover tuition and fees associated with these high-demand training programs.
This marks the first time in several years that these two programs have received VA approval. With this reinstatement, students using the Post-9.11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, Veterans Readiness and Employment, or the Survivors’ and Dependents Educational Assistance Program are now able to apply their benefits toward tuition and fees, as well as collect a monthly housing allowance or a monthly stipend, depending on which benefit is used.
“We are honored to support those who have served our country by expanding access to workforce training,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “This approval helps veterans and their families take full advantage of the benefits they’ve earned while preparing for rewarding careers that strengthen our community and economy.”
