CFCC expands barber school program

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College announces the expansion of their barber shop program.
The expansion adds 1,100 square feet of instructional and service space and features 10 additional barber chairs. With this growth, CFCC’s Barber School can now accommodate up to 22 students, from the previous capacity of 11.
This increase will enable more barbers to receive hands-on training while providing the community with greater access to discounted haircuts and grooming services.
This project was supported by a grant from The Endowment.
“This expansion is a win for our students, who gain valuable real-world experience, and for the public who will benefit from high-quality, affordable barbering services,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “We’re excited to see how this expansion will open doors for more students and further connect us with the community.”
