CFCC hosting college and career information session for Spanish-speaking families

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is hosting a college and career information session for Spanish-speaking families later this month.
“At Cape Fear, we want to ensure that every family in our community has the opportunity to access higher education,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “We are committed to inclusivity and are excited to offer the first information session for Spanish-speaking families.”
The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on November 29th in room U-170 at CFCC’s Union Station.
Free parking will be available in student lot number two, located at Front Street and Hanover Street, directly behind CFCC’s Wilson Center.
The information session is open to all New Hanover and Pender County families, students, and staff.
The College and Career Information Session will feature informative presentations and resources on how to plan, apply, and pay for college. Information will be provided about CFCC’s programs, as well as a resource fair where prospective students can learn about the services CFCC provides.
Speakers include Juana Hernandez-Lira from the College Foundation of North Carolina and Jocelinne Perfecto, CFCC Latino Outreach Coordinator
