CFCC, Johnson & Wales University launch transfer agreement for culinary students

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College announced they’re partnering with Johnson & Wales University to create a transfer pathway for culinary students to earn a bachelor’s degree in food-focused fields.
Eligible CFCC students pursuing careers in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, and food and beverage leadership can transfer into Johnson & Wales Bachelor of Science in Applied Food Science, Bachelor of Science in Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship, and Bachelor of Science in Food and Beverage Industry Management programs.
“Johnson & Wales is nationally recognized for excellence in culinary education, and this agreement creates a strong, natural next step for our students,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “By aligning our programs, we’re creating a clear pathway for CFCC students to continue their education at an institution that is well known for preparing leaders in the culinary and food industries.”
In order to transfer students must have a minimum GPA of 2.7, complete an eligible associate degree, meet the admission standards and comply with the admission procedures of Johnson & Wales University.
