CFCC launches new Artificial Intelligence program

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is launching a new Artificial Intelligence program starting in Fall 2025, aimed at preparing students for in-demand careers in one of the fastest-growing fields.

Enrollment is now open for both new and current students.

The new program will offer a combination of hands-on training and coursework focused on real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Areas of study include data analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, and the ethical considerations surrounding AI development.

The new program will offer a combination of hands-on training and foundational coursework focused on real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Areas of study include data analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, and the ethical considerations surrounding AI development.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming every industry, from healthcare to finance to manufacturing, and CFCC is preparing students to thrive in this dynamic environment,” CFCC President Jim Morton said in a news release.

Graduates will be equipped for careers across a variety of fields including technology, finance, healthcare, education, and logistics. The college says students will gain the specialized training needed to compete in today’s data-driven job market.

CFCC officials say the program is ideal for individuals launching a career in tech, transitioning to a new field, or seeking competitive skills for advancement in their current roles.
