CFCC Now Enrolling for BioWork Process Technician Course

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College announces the launch of a new BioWork Process Technician program.

According to a press release, this short-term, industry-recognized training is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in North Carolina’s rapidly expanding biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing sectors.

Developed in partnership with the NC Biotechnology Center, the BioWork Certificate program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to launch a career as a process technician. These technicians are responsible for the production of chemical and pharmaceutical products.

The course begins on June 10 and runs through September 23. Participants will meet in person on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on CFCC’s downtown Wilmington campus. Additional online work will be required. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be certified by the NC BioNetwork as BioWork Process Technicians.
