WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is hosting a Financial Aid and FAFSA Night on October 29th.

It will be held from from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in CFCC’s Union Station, room 212.

This event will assist current and prospective students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. High school students, current college students, prospective students, families, and adult learners are all invited to attend.

Participants will receive one-on-one or small-group assistance completing and submitting their FAFSA application. To make the most of your FAFSA Night experience, participants should bring documentation to assist in residency determination, FSA ID and password (for both the student and the parent/guardian), and their 2023 and 2024 tax returns.

Attendees can expect:

  • Personalized assistance: trained financial aid professionals will be available to assist attendees and address specific questions and concerns related to the FAFSA
  • Step-by-step guidance: to ensure accuracy and completeness to maximize their eligibility for receiving financial aid
  • Document preparation support: attendees are encouraged to bring necessary documents, such as tax returns and income information, for hands-on assistance in completing the application
  • Accessibility: this series is designed to be accessible to everyone in our community
  • Learn more about scholarship opportunities

In addition, CFCC representatives will be available to speak to prospective students about the programming and training offered at CFCC.
