CFCC to launch flooring installation course at Surf City Center

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College is launching a new floor installation course at the Surf City Location.

The new course will begin March 2 and addresses a workforce shortage.

According to the press release, over the past decade the Southeast has experienced a decline of about 4,000 to 6,000 flooring installers. To help close the gap, CFCC is partnering with the Floor Covering Education Foundation to provide hands-on training to prepare students.

The 300-hour program will focus on installing hardwood, carpet, tile, and luxury vinyl plank.

Enrollment is limited to 10 students and the course costs $215. You can learn more and register online.
