COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Chadbourn man was booked Wednesday after driving over 100 mph to flee from deputies over child support.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to serve a child support warrant on Shikei Daniels, 27, at 5833 Ten Mile Road.

When they arrived, Daniels had fled out the back door. He fled at high speeds, leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit exceeding 100 mph. During the chase, Daniels ran multiple stop signs and nearly struck another vehicle. Deputies later caught and arrested Daniels.
