Charleston Area Regional Transit Authority adds Wi-Fi

CHARLESTON, SC (AP) — The Charleston Area Regional Transit Authority wants to get more people riding the bus, so the agency is adding WiFi on area buses.

The authority is unveiling the new service in Charleston on Thursday. Wi-Fi will be available on both express and main line CARTA buses.

Authority officials say the technology is an advantage for commuters who might otherwise drive to work. The agency also hopes it will also help to get some vehicles off the area’s crowded roads.
