Chase Rice to headline Azalea Festival Saturday night concert


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Country singer Chase Rice will headline the Saturday night concert during this year’s Azalea Festival, organizers announced this morning.

Rice will perform on the Belk Main Stage at Cape Fear Community College in downtown Wilmington on Saturday, April 9, at 7 p.m. with opening act Kane Brown. Tickets are $36.50 and go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m. at NCAzaleaFestival.org. Tickets will go on sale at the Azalea Festival Ticket Office at 5725 Oleander Drive, Suite B-7 on Monday.

Rice, who grew up in North Carolina, went to UNC on a football scholarship and worked on a NASCAR pit crew before heading to Nashville and launching his music career.

The festival had previously announced the Avett Brothers will play the Main Stage on Thursday, April 7.
