Christmas tree farm in Wilmington opens Friday for holiday season

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Barr Evergreens, a family-owned farm from Western North Carolina, is setting up shop in Wilmington for the 46th year in a row.

Starting Friday, they’ll be open seven days a week from 9 AM to 9 PM, offering a wide selection of North Carolina-grown trees, including the classic Fraser Firs. They’ll also have wreaths and garlands for sale, perfect for decking your halls.

Prices range from $45 for smaller trees up to $160 for the larger ones.

Avery Barr says he and his team are busy getting everything ready for opening day. “We’re getting the big trees set up, displaying everything, and pricing it all. We’re excited for everyone to come get a Christmas tree and spread some holiday cheer in Wilmington.”

Barr Evergreens’ retail lot is located at 37 Covil Avenue in Wilmington.
