City Council listens to ‘The Castle’ project presentation


 

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington City Council heard from the Wilmington Southside Community Development Corporation about a plan to turn a bus lot on Castle Street into a shopping and cultural center.

If approved, it will be called ‘The Castle’.

There are also plans for affordable housing, retail spaces, and a cultural arts center.

The project is estimated to cost $10 million.
