City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation hosts a senior scam prevention workshop

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington is working with the NC Department of Justice and the Office of the District Attorney of New Hanover & Pender Counties to host an interactive, hands-on workshop to help protect seniors from fraud, scams, and financial exploitation.

This free and engaging simulation will walk participants through real-world scam scenarios and provide them the tools they need to stay safe.

The event starts today at 10 a.m. and goes until 12:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 401 South 8th Street.
