Clarkton man arrested after rape report to Bladen County Sheriff’s Office

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Clarkton man was arrested on multiple sexual offenses after an investigation.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office received a report of rape on Monday.

Allegedly, a thirteen-year-old minor child disclosed to authorities that she had recently be raped by a family acquaintance.

Jahmar Richardson, 40, was arrested a charged with statutory sex offense with child by adult, first degree statutory sex offense, sex act: substitute parent/custodian, indecent liberties with a child, and sexual battery.

Richardson is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center and given no bond.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office says this is an open investigation and they expect more charges to be given.
