Bladen County man arrested on drug charges

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect on drug charges, after numerous community complaints of narcotic deals in Bladenboro.
On April 29th, deputies pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of West Seaboard and Village Street.
The sheriff’s office says George Carter, 36, had multiple illicit narcotics and two guns in the vehicle.
Carter is a convicted felon, and one of the guns seized was stolen in 2020.
Carter faces multiple charges.
- Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for sell and/or keeping of controlled substances
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance X3
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule III controlled substance
- Felony Possession of Schedule II controlled substance X2
- Trafficking Opium or Heroin X2
- Manufacture Schedule II Controlled Substance X2
- Possess Weapon Mass Destruction
- Possess Stolen Firearm
- Possession of Firearm by felon
He has a $500,000 secured bond.
