Bladen County man arrested on drug charges

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect on drug charges, after numerous community complaints of narcotic deals in Bladenboro.

On April 29th, deputies pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of West Seaboard and Village Street.

The sheriff’s office says George Carter, 36, had multiple illicit narcotics and two guns in the vehicle.

Carter is a convicted felon, and one of the guns seized was stolen in 2020.

Carter faces multiple charges.

  • Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for sell and/or keeping of controlled substances
  • Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance X3
  • Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule III controlled substance
  • Felony Possession of Schedule II controlled substance X2
  • Trafficking Opium or Heroin X2
  • Manufacture Schedule II Controlled Substance X2
  • Possess Weapon Mass Destruction
  • Possess Stolen Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm by felon

He has a $500,000 secured bond.
