Coastal Christian opens playoffs with 8-1 home win over Wake Christian

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – The NCISAA girls soccer playoffs kicked off Tuesday, and Coastal Christian picked up an 8-1 home win over Wake Christian.
The Centurions led 4-0 at halftime. Randi Short then scored just 15 seconds after the break to increase their lead.
The Bulldogs added one of their own soon after, but Paige Everett managed to return the favor. Both Everett and M.C. Shearin had two goals each.
Coastal’s next game will be at home on Thursday. Who they will face and when is still TBD.
