Cold night ahead; Good Shepherd Center prepares to shelter 100
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY-TV) – As the Cape Fear Region braces for colder temperatures Monday night, The Good Shepherd Center is expecting a spike in those seeking shelter.
The shelter said they will be housing around 100 individuals on Monday. The center is also in need of several donated items including ibuprofen, medium duffle bags, reading glasses, AA batteries and Fixodent.
Katrina Knight, the shelter’s executive director said donations for the holiday season help make the season brighter for those less fortunate.
“At this time more than ever, we’re really helping out folks feel safe and remembered and boosted up.”
