Columbus Co. inmate reportedly stabbed with poultry shears

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) —  Two possibly three inmates reportedly stabbed an inmate with poultry shears at the Columbus County Correctional Institution in Whiteville Saturday morning.

A spokeswoman with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said no arrests have been made, as of yet, because the victim was not sure of the suspects’ names.

She said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his wounds.
