Columbus County man sentenced to several years in prison for multiple drug-related convictions
HALLSBORO, NC (WWAY) – On June 1st, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at 53 Valley Lane in Hallsboro, which they say has been a continued “hot spot” for narcotics activity.
Upon executing the search warrant, investigators found 34-year-old Steven Trent Boone at the residence.
Police say Boone threw an amount of narcotics in an attempt to dispose of the evidence before being arrested and charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
Boone received a $10,000 secured bond.
32-year-old Jordan Little was also at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed and was charged with Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance. He was also served some outstanding warrants.
He received a $15,000 Secured bond.
Steven Boone was sentenced on June 15th in Columbus County Superior Court to an active sentence of 12-24 months for the Sell and Deliver of a Schedule II Controlled Substance from a 2020 Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics investigation.
Boone pled guilty the next day in Superior Court to the charges from the June 1st search warrant. He was sentenced to serve 6-17 months in addition to the 12-24 month sentence.
