Columbus County Sheriffs are searching for a 15-year old girl
COLUMBUS COUNTY (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is actively conducting a search and rescue operation for 15-year-old Jettie Edwards, who has autism.
Jettie was last seen around 9:00 p.m. She was wearing a pink sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan Hey Dudes. She left on foot and was last seen heading toward the wooded area near her residence in the 9000 block of Hallsboro Road South.
At the request of Sheriff Bill Rogers, multiple agencies are assisting in this search.
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is en route with a helicopter, a man-tracking team, along with partnering agencies, who are currently searching the area using three drones.
Due to freezing temperatures tonight, time is critical.
