Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrests ‘repeat offender’ for narcotics possession

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) –The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a woman on narcotics charges who they say was a repeat offender already out on bond.

The Sheriff’s Office says detectives pulled over a vehicle Wednesday in the parking lot of the Marathon convenience store at the intersection of Burkhead Street and JK Powell Boulevard.

The driver allowed detectives to search the vehicle. They allegedly found drugs narcotics in the pocket of a red jacket belonging to a passenger in the vehicle: Julia Jordan.

The Sheriff’s Office claims Jordan admitted the narcotics belonged to her and stated she had forgotten they were inside the jacket.

She is being held without bond.
