Columbus County Sheriff’s Office requests new vehicles

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — In Columbus County, the sheriff’s office requested new vehicles for the current budget year but were denied. 

The Columbus County Commissioner’s office turned down the request for fifteen new vehicles at a cost of $750,000 for this year.  

However, they did approve the purchase of ten vehicles for the new budget year which starts after July 1st.
