Columbus County Sheriff’s Office searching for person accused of shooting man in Tabor City

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person accused of shooting a man in Tabor City.

Deputies responded to 15 Ying Lane on Saturday in reference to a disturbance with weapons.

Upon arrival deputies say they observed Nigel Mason laying on the ground beside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

No one on scene could identify the shooter.

Mason was transported to Grand Strand Hospital by Tabor City EMS.

This is still an active case.
