Combined law enforcement effort leads to drug arrests

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Leland Police say they arrested two people on several drug charges.

Police said they charged Anthony Mallette and Lena Kinlaw for possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, cocaine and prescription narcotics.

The arrest was the culmination of an ongoing cooperative investigation between Leland Police and the SBI, which started this year. The Wilmington Police Department and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office also helped in the investigation.

Mallette and Kinlaw are in the Brunswick County jail under $50,000 and $30,000 bond respectively.
